Motorcycle Maintenance Course Overview 

This course equips you with the experience and knowledge which suits your interests and talents.  The course gives you extra appeal to employers when applying for Jobs/ Apprenticeships in Car Mechanics, Motorcycle Mechanics, Sheet Metal Worker, Welder, Plumber and other Engineering Trades.

A work–based learning approach where the leaner gains basic skills in both theory and practical mechanical engineering i.e. Motorbike maintenance-engines and welding.

Course Content

The purpose of this module is to equip the learner with relevant knowledge, skills and competence to carry out the top end strip down of a motorcycle and repair/ rebuild a 4 stroke petrol engine.

This module will equip the learner with the knowledge, skills and competence to use arc welding equipment to produce a range of welded joints in different steel types  under supervision.

The purpose of this module is to provide the learner with the knowledge, skills and competence to use oxy-acetylene equipment to weld a limited range of various steel types under supervision.

The purpose of this module is to equip the learner with the knowledge, skills and competence to recognise and maintain good health and safety practices in a garage environment.

There are lots of different factors that go into choosing a career path. The sooner you begin to think about potential careers, the more chances you will have to explore them before making major decisions. 

This module give learners the opportunity to apply the skills they have learned to help them to perform well in an active working environment.
